Stand with Suwayda - Utrecht
According to a United Nations report released on August 21, 2025, Suwayda is facing a major humanitarian disaster. More than 30 villages have been completely destroyed, nearly a thousand people have been killed - including women and children - and hundreds have been abducted or are still missing.
Key Issues:
- Mass murders and forced disappearances
- Sexual violence and executions against women and girls
- More than 100 women and girls abducted, many still missing
- Roads blocked, access to medicine and basic necessities nearly impossible
Families live in constant fear and uncertainty. Join us to show solidarity and demand action for the people of Suwayda who deserve the right to self-determination to live freely, with dignity and safety.
Peace Palace Vigil for As-Suwayda
To continue raising awareness in Dutch society about the massacres in As-Suwayda, we are organizing a week-long vigil at the Peace Palace in The Hague.
Main Focus Points:
- Displaying photos and names of child victims of bombings and violations in As-Suwayda
- Highlighting the issue of women forcibly hidden by extremist groups
- Raising awareness about the siege that has led to the death of many patients due to lack of medicine
Together we raise our voices and bring the truth to the world.
Solidarity Dinner @ MKZ
🕊 Solidarity with Sweida 🕊
The people of Sweida Governorate have shown remarkable
resilience in the face of hardship and ongoing challenges. Many
families have been displaced, and communities are working
together to support one another despite difficult
circumstances.
At this Solidarity Dinner, we gather not only to share food, but
also to raise awareness and support for those affected. We come
together to share their stories, stand with them in hope, and
ensure their voices are heard.
Join us as we unite for compassion, truth, and a brighter future
for Sweida.
