An elderly Druze man is questioned about his religion: “Are you Druze or Muslim?” The man replies, “I am Syrian.” Julani's fighters press him, asking, “What does Syrian mean — Muslim or Druze?” When he answers, “I am Druze, brother,” he is executed on the spot.
